In May, during a short stopover in Delft while driving between Amsterdam and Antwerp we were fortunate to find a quaint outdoor café (Het Gulden ABC) that opened reasonably early on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.  Most of the shops on and around the picturesque square were just beginning to open when we arrived.  So we found a good table to people watch and that had a commanding view of the square and ordered a couple of drinks to pass the time until the shops opened.  We ate breakfast at our hotel in Amsterdam only a couple hours earlier and were not hungry but a couple of drinks sounded great.  The service was fast and friendly and the café is ideally located on the square and we thoroughly enjoyed our short sojourn before hitting the shops.
